Tag & release
Extensive experience with tag/recapture programs deploying tags in rock lobster & finfish . Attribute data is captured & validated electronically at source along with coordinates for each record.
The ultimate goal of tag and release programs is to ensure the long-term sustainability of rock lobster fisheries. By gathering detailed data, scientists and fisheries managers can make more informed decisions to protect the lobster population, ensuring that it remains healthy and productive for future generations.
Database queries & desktop analysis
Desktop spatial queries are only as good as the underlying data. We are competent in preparing and analyzing fisheries data and reporting on potential spatial conflicts.
Electronic data capture
Experienced in the conversion of manual paper based data capture to capturing that data electronically. Our electronic systems are proven to be easy to use with the hardware standing up well in wet, saltwater environments. Electronic data capture needs to be simple & intuitive so that users can readily get up to speed with the technology.
